This check looks for a statement confirming a human reviews any AI-assisted hiring decision, wherever AI in hiring is mentioned on your site. AI in hiring is mentioned here, but no human-in-the-loop or human-review statement was found alongside it, so candidates have no way to know a person still checks the outcome.
Why this matters
If the EU AI Act applies to your hiring tools, AI systems used in recruitment are classed as high-risk, and deployers have human oversight duties under Article 26, with the main high-risk obligations scheduled for August 2026 (timing may change). Whether this applies to you depends on where you hire and the tool you use, so check with a legal adviser. Stating clearly that a person makes the final decision can also help candidates trust the process.
How to fix it
Your people team and legal should add a short sentence near your AI hiring disclosure, for example: 'AI is used for initial screening only. All hiring decisions are reviewed by a human recruiter.' This takes about 30 minutes to write and publish on the careers page and alongside the AI-hiring disclosure.
