Privacy policy shows no last-updated / effective date

This check looks for a visible 'Last updated' or 'Effective date' line on the privacy policy page. On this site, the crawled privacy policy carries no such date anywhere, meaning there's no way for a visitor, or the business itself, to tell when the policy was last reviewed or changed. A dated policy is the first thing reviewers and regulators look for when assessing whether a business takes its privacy obligations seriously. An undated one signals it may not have been revisited since it was first drafted, and it makes it impossible for returning visitors to know whether anything has changed since they last read it. Your privacy lawyer should add a clearly visible 'Last updated: [date]' line at the top of the privacy policy, and make a habit of updating it every time the policy content changes. This is one of the quickest fixes available, around 15 minutes, but it needs to become a standing habit rather than a one-off edit.
